How to Feng Shui – Use a Mirror in Your Home to Create Prosperity

“How should I use a mirror in Feng Shui?”

Great question!

4303578997_f1e875ce0b_oHave you noticed how much your surroundings affect you? Most people don’t know how important it is to use the the energy of their surroundings in their home and office. I just returned from visiting a friend who had purchased a beautiful, new mirror. By using mirrors you can take advantage of the good energy in your home and increase your prosperity.

We hung my friend’s new mirror above her dining room table. Mirrors are great to hang over your dining room able because the dining room table represents abundance and a mirror doubles the energy that is there. That is true only as long as your dining room table has something beautiful on, such a flowers, fruit, or a beautiful centerpiece. You wouldn’t want to double a bunch of clutter; that would bring in lack and confusion.

DON’T use a mirror directly across from your bed. That is, if you are looking for love or want to keep the one you have to yourself. If you are single, the mirror will show you already with a partner as it doubles your energy.  If you are a couple, it will appear as extra partners, which I’m sure you aren’t asking the universe to bring into your life. If you have closet door mirrors across from you bed, you can simply cover the mirror by hanging easy-to-pull drapes over them and closing them at night.

A mirror that reflects the bed might look nice, but it’s a common Feng Shui mistake!

When you hang a mirror make sure that your head is not cut off when you look in it. If it is, then the mirror is hanging too low…and if you can’t see your body at all, then it is too high.

Mirrors create a good flow of energy in a hall way also. They create flow and direct the energy down the hallway into another room. They can also effectively direct energy on stair.

Have fun checking out the mirrors in your house to see whether they are bringing in good energy.

Good Feng Shui With Your Family Pictures

Wondering where to put pictures of people?

Family picutre and feng shui

Love your family but keep them out of your bedroom

* The two places where you don’t want to put pictures of people are in the two rooms with energy, which is either flushed or constantly going down the drain. Those rooms are the bathroom and the kitchen. Any other rooms in your home or office will work. Below are some suggestions for specific types of pictures or photographs.

* Personal, couple and romantic pictures go well in the bedroom, however if you don’t want your family in your personal bedroom business, don’t put family pictures in that room.

Energetically they will be watching you.

* Pictures can go in one of the personal magnetic directions of the individual itself. If you don’t know what they are, get them FREE here: Personal Success Direction
* Any and all family pictures are great in the East, which is the direction that represents FAMILY.

* mother child shiraMother, grandmother, daughter pictures can go in the Southwest since it represents matriarchy, motherhood, and female energy.
* Pictures of children can go in the West since that direction represents children and creative energy.

* Males, sons, fathers, and grandfathers go well in the Northwest area since that area  represents male energy, fathers, sons, and male mentors.
* If you are single and looking for relationship, glamorous pictures of yourself all over the house will not bring romance. It tells the universe I LOVE ME and ME ALONE!

Avoid Stress at work with Feng Shui

These little things are more important than you think. Check to see you have any of these stress points in your workplace, whether it is at home or an outside office.

  • Do you have things that are vibrating constant sounds, even the tick-tock of a clock that won’t quit, or a radio station that distracts you?
  • Is there something behind your back that is annoying you? Hopefully, you aren’t sitting in a position where others face your back, because it can create backbiting or gossip?
  • Is there a little pile of clutter that has accumulated and become normal, because it’s been sitting there so long, that it is clogging your energy?
  • Is there a plant that is no longer luscious and green and not bringing you energy by purifying the air?
  • What is on the wall that you stare at several hours each day, the  one that faces your desk? If you do have a wall in front of your desk that is blocking energy, place some beautiful photos or things that inspire you and are pleasant to look at. Diplomas, a newspaper articles, an advertisements, or a recognition piece are excellent there.
  • What is in the South area of your space? The South has to do with work, career, and recognition so if you have clutter, a trash can, a shredding machine, or something that does not activate and support work, it can be irritating to your energy.

You will also feel better if you have something with fire energy in the South. (fire red, orange, yellow, violet)

  • Do you need a dimmer switch on a light that is too bright or directly in your eyes? The best light of all is light from outside, nature’s light.
  • Perhaps there are people who have little annoying habits or have a habit of interrupting you that you can handle.
  • If you are missing one of the five elements of nature, or don’t have a balance of them, it can create an uncomfortable environment: Fire, earth, metal, water, wood.   You should especially have your birth element near you, preferably near or on your desk. Now you know what these stress points are, you can correct them and lower your underlying stress.
